MY STORY

Architect and TV presenter Pete Colquhoun has extensive media credits across a range of genres.
For the past 16 years he has been the resident architect on Australia’s number one life-style show “Better Homes and Gardens’. Pete has presented and hosted Lifestyle, Reality and Sport programs for the 7 network. He is creator and presenter of the acclaimed series on Australian coastal homes ‘Sandcastles’.
Currently he is anchoring ‘Better Ideas’ a podcast series for 7-West media, focusing on great ideas for the home. He is also editor at large of ‘Better Building Australia’ an online building magazine as well as regular contributor to ‘Grand Designs’ and ‘Habitus’.
In Recent years Peter was awarded a National Architectural commendation for his work on the re-design of North Bondi Surf Club. He continues to practice architecture focusing on domestic design as well as consulting.
Peter’s other great passions include Art and Music as well as the occasional guest appearance in local TV dramas and movies. While bouncing between commitments he still manages to get a surf in most days with his 2 young sons.
Pete and Joh have worked alongside each other for many years. Together they have been part of a range of broadcasts including the Olympics as well as International tennis events. For well over a decade they have travelled extensively throughout Australia visiting award winning homes for 'Better Homes and Gardens' each giving their unique take on what makes not only great design but a house a home.
