This painting started life as a large impression of a Jacaranda tree.
I wrestles with it for a while until I decided to shed its leaves and see where it wanted to take me.
Leaping from figurative to abstraction was the big move from there it the picture led me to introduce a second shade of Blue.
The painting then felt too dark so I changed the key and lighted the whole thing up.
The title is by no means meant to lead the viewer but a feel it’s now the decedent of a few themes.
This picture would sit well in both a light or dark space.
