This is a large canvass striving to capture the immense scale of the cliffs of Diamond Bay. They stand just south of the entrance to Sydney Harbour. Generally dark and foreboding but when the sea spray hits them at certain angles various colours are refracted. With a generous dollop of artistic licence and lead from one of my favourite painters Pierre Bonnard, I have chosen an impressionistic palette to paint these gigantic monoliths.
