Who doesn’t love an elephant?
This is of an adolescent playing with water. I was attracted to the strong curving profile of the smiling face and looping trunk.
The materials of charcoal, acrylic and oil really lend itself to the muddy , stained , blotchy skin. Turps and linseed oil was used as part of the medium to help bleed and break up some of the paint on the canvass to help achieve a lively dripping impression.
