We set up our easels in the shade adjacent to the Neilson Park kiosk. The danger swooping kookaburra’s looking for any food. The day is getting long and soon this headland will be in shadow. While the sun lasts we try and make sense of the greens, blues and ancient sandstone rocks. This landscape, that was here yesterday and will be here tomorrow - as it was and as it will be. When you sit and look , really look at a scene and try and decipher it by making marks on a canvass or paper how ever feeble or humble those attempts may be - my hope is that beauty is imprinted somewhere within.
