We tracked through bush beyond the bottom fence of an old friends farm past an old loggers wrench and came across this panorama. Looking east through to the cliffs that surround Kangaroo Valley on the South Coast. Ridge lines upon valleys, covered in trees, foreground rocks and distant rock faces all held under an ever changing sky. How do you capture these 180 degree vista’s?, how many colours do you use? A photo will record, a painting must take another course. I have used a limited number of yellows, blues and reds and let them bleed and run in and out of the valley lines in my humble attempt to lasso this landscape. Water colour 360x510mm
